Class 1 and 2 had a super day out at Manchester Airport. We were very lucky and had the opportunity to board several air craft. We were able to dress up as members of airport staff. A favourite outfit for the girls was The Emirates costume. We all loved pretending to direct the aeroplanes to land safely using the air traffic control batons! Our favourite part of the day was when we were able to pretend to fly our friends to Brazil!

I hope you all had a great time at the Summer Disco. Children you did some fantastic moves on the dance floor. We were also glad to see that a lot of parents took the opportunity to have a social gethering and enjoy a few drinks.
Thank you to everyone for your support, we raised a brilliant £256.88!
A special thanks to Emma Mathers, Natalie Barnes, Lisa Dyas-Eldon, Tammi, Mrs Kuffour & Mrs Proctor for all their help on the night. There were some fantastic, nails, face painting and tattoos going on.

As part of our PE curriculum at The Meadows we regularly participate in events at the High School. This gives our children the opportunity to meet other children from local schools, use the facilities and benefit from the subject specialists at Madeley High School. Our sports opportunities were praised in our recent Ofsted report. As a thank you Megan and Oliver wrote to Mr Kerridge, the Headteacher to say thank you for their support. Today they received a reply, which they were very excited to open. You can read the letter by clicking on the link.

Well cone to all children in Class 4 who participated in the dance workshop today. You all put in 100% effort and did brilliantly. The dance was extremely energetic and vigourous yet your efforts were fantastic. We were exceptionally impressed!!

On Friday 18th July, the children will be having their Gem Jar Party (a reward for their fantastic behavior this term). We will be having a ‘character’ themed party. The children are free to come dressed as any character from their favourite TV show, film or book. If they do not want to come dressed as a character, they are free to wear their own clothes. A letter has been sent home with the children today, asking for your permission for your child to take part in the following: face-painting, nail art, temporary tattoos and watching a PG film (i.e. Frozen).
