Early Years

The Meadows Primary School, with the support of Shaw Education Trust, are delighted to announce that our self-contained early years setting catering for three-to-five-year-olds is now open.

A purpose-built space, located a short distance away at Madeley School, which accommodates the Meadow’s Reception class and a year-round private day Nursery.

The idea behind this is to help ease children’s transitions from a Nursery to School setting, the building boasts blended classrooms, outdoor learning environment, family-style dining and state-of-the-art Apple technology.

We have had an amazing first week and The Reception children have settled in amazingly well! We can't wait to welcome Nursery aged children into our fantastic unit.

In the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), we believe that every child is unique and strive to provide an enabling environment that is nurturing and inclusive. We believe that all children should celebrate their diversity and embrace differences including: culture, ethnicity, religion, language, special educational need, disability, gender or ability. We foster positive relationships in which all children learn to be resilient, independent, confident and self assured, secure and valued.
