Goodbye Mr Panter

Today, Mr Panter joined our Assembly.  The children have made a lovely card for him and shared their memories.  They asked him questions about what he had enjoyed about his job.  Mr Panter said he will miss talking to all the children and hearing about the latest pop groups.  He has been helping the Meadows children cross the very busy road for over 11 years.  He is now looking forward to being able to have days out and breaks away with his wife.  We wish him well and hope he will come back to visit us.

New Reception Class

On Monday evening, Mrs Davies and I welcomed our new Reception parents to The Meadows.  There are some new families joining us, as well as some younger siblings.  I know the children are looking forward to their "stay and play" sessions.  I am sure our current Reception children will make them very welcome and enjoy showing the younger children around.

Well done Year 6.

This week I have been so proud of our year six children.  They have been doing their SATS tests, which has meant lots of working in silence and really concentrating.  Their attitude has been super and they have all taken it in their stride.  They have been doing lots of revision in lessons and even in a breakfast club. This has really helped their confidence.  I think Mrs Kuffour felt the stress more!  We look forward to finding out the results in July.

They have certainly had a great start to each day, with a tasty breakfast.
