Hi, it's us again - Ellenor and Adam, your ambassadors. Today we are going to be talking to you about the changes to our guided reading sessions. At the start of December, we were visited by directors at The Shaw Education Trust to do a health check on our school to help us to continue to improve. One of the small changes we have made as a result is to help us develop our fluency in Reading.

This week we have been learning about Winter. We investigated ice outside and then came inside to look at ice cubes and think of words to describe the. The children used some great describing words such as "cold" "freezing" "slippery" and "wet". We used a range of tools including warm water to melt it.

What a fantastic first week back we have had, we were very excited to hear all about the children's Christmas holidays and welcome our new members to our class. Even though it has been a short week we have managed to squeeze a lot of exciting things in and I think we'll all be ready for a rest this weekend!

Hello, we have had a very busy week in Early Years and we are all getting very excited for Christmas. On Monday Miss Crooks bought in two Christmas trees for us to decorate. We took it in turns, and made one look beautiful. However we used all the decorations so we decided to make some for our other tree.

A Message from our Ambassadors
One of the responsibilities that our ambassadors, Adam and Ellenor, have is to know about our school and the priorities we are working on in order to improve. Pupil voice is an exceptionally important part of our development, because everything we do is aimed at providing our children with the very best education so that they can exceed their potential.

What a fantastic week we have had in Early Years! At the beginning of the week we wrapped up warm and went outside to explore the snow. We enjoyed making footprints in the snow, feeling how cold the ice was and making our very own Olaf Snowman.
