What a fabulous week we have had in Nursery, we have started our new topic: Spring. We looked at lots of different spring pictures and decided to do blossom tree pictures but we didn't have any pink or brown paint so the children suggested mixing red and white to make pink, and yellow, blue and red to make brown (using our colour mixing chart to help). 

This week in phonics we have focusing on Rhyming, we have played lots of interactive games on the whiteboard and the children loved playing Silly Soup.

We have read Jack and the Beanstalk and the children enjoyed working with Reception to put the story back in the right order after Miss Crooks accidently dropped the pictures and they all mixed up. 

The children have also planted their own beans to see if their beanstalks grow as big as Jack's. 

And this morning we were very lucky to have a visit from a Dentist. She discussed with the children the importance of cleaning teeth and what foods are good and not so good. The children have been lucky to receive a goody bag to take home with a toothbrush and toothpaste.
