Congratulations to Mrs B Magee who has been awarded a special award from The Shaw Education Trust for being an "Exceptional Member of the Support Staff”. Mrs Magee is employed as a higher-level teaching assistant and her varied role allows her to work with each and every child here at The Meadows, during the course of the week.
She really is such a positive influence in our school family, who is always genuinely excited by the day ahead. She gains so much from being at the very heart of everything. Mrs Magee is able to form professional relationships with absolutely everyone and her constant smile influences others and not just the children!
She leads two after school clubs in school, which are voluntary. She actively sought gaps in our curriculum enrichment and made the approach herself. She organises all the resources in her own time and is careful to make physical adjustments, so resources are inclusive.
Working across all the classes and providing PPA , means Mrs Magee has to be thoroughly prepared and innovative delivering high quality learning experiences for all. Most recently she has led our new French curriculum initiative, which is proving to be very popular and having a positive impact upon attainment
Mrs Magee is extremely knowledgeable regarding assessment and has actively in her own time, developed her own professional practice so that she able to fully comply with our teaching and learning policies and marking procedures. In fact her marking is exemplary and is held up as an example for the teachers to follow.
I am delighted that such a tremendous award has acknowledged Mrs Magee’s hard work and years of dedication.
