Well done to all of the girls who participated in the rounders tournament yesterday at Langdale Primary School. They participated in four matches and although we were not the overall winners, they played with great spirit and enthusiasm. I was very proud of you all. We scored some great rounders, had some super catches to get players on the opposition out and did some good fielding.

Dear Parent/Guardian,
As you are aware, on Thursday 25th June we will be holding our annual Sports Day at Keele University Sports Centre. The event will commence at 1pm and finish at approximately 4pm.
On the day, please ensure that your child comes in wearing their usual school outdoor PE kit and brings in a labelled bottle of water (disposable where possible) to allow them to hydrate. A snack will be provided on the day courtesy of the school funds. Also, all children should refrain from bringing their school bag(s) on this day.

Last Friday, all members of the Y6 went into the community to help the Madeley Tidy Up group. They spent the morning litter picking around the Madeley Centre, the pond and the College Park. They were astounded by the amount of litter that was left lying around litter bins in the community!
Following this, they had refreshments at the Old Hall, which were provided by the courtesy of Councillor Simon White.

When Rev. Peter comes in on a Tuesday, we learn: different stories about Jesus and all kinds of songs. We have actions to some songs for example, ‘God came down so we may have love.’

Dear Parent/Guardian,
Just a reminder that on Friday all children in Cl3 and 4 will be participating in ‘Razzmatazz’ at the Victoria Hall.
We will depart school after lunch, so that we are able to rehearse prior to the concert. All children will be required to bring into school:

Difference and Diversity
The subject of our assembly on Thursday the 4th of June 2015 was about our SMSC; social, moral, spiritual and cultural development. We have looked more deeply into these terms since Ofsted, who noticed that- for an outstanding rating- we should improve our understanding of diversity.

Dear Parent/Guardian,
As you are aware, on the 11th May your child will begin their SATs tests. We have done a great deal this year in school to prepare your child for these assessments and I am so proud of how hard your children have worked in school. They have demonstrated great dedication towards their revision – particularly participating in our revision sessions in after school on Tuesdays. I know that they are all very capable to do well and achieve their potential.
